No. All trading takes place in a simulated (demo) environment using real market data. When you pass the evaluation and receive a funded account, profits are still generated in a simulated environment. Payouts are performance-based rewards paid from our operational revenue.
No. All challenge fees are non-refundable. The fee pays for access to the simulated evaluation environment.
1-Step has a single phase with a 10% profit target and 8% max drawdown. 2-Step has two phases (8% then 5% target) with a higher 10% max drawdown. 2-Step is cheaper and more forgiving on drawdown. 1-Step is faster if you're confident.
On Classic accounts, no single trading day can account for more than 30% of your total profit. Dual and Rapid accounts have no consistency rule, but funded payout reviews may still flag extreme concentration for manual review.
Your maximum loss floor is fixed at your starting balance minus the drawdown percentage. It never moves up. If you start with $100K and have 8% drawdown, your floor is $92K forever — even if you grow to $110K. This is more trader-friendly than trailing drawdown.

Yes. Automated strategies, scripts, and indicators are allowed on PlutoTrader. Copy trading from your own accounts is permitted. Copy trading from external signal services or shared accounts is prohibited.
Arbitrage, latency exploitation, HFT, tick scalping, hedging across multiple accounts, trading during restricted news events, account sharing, and any form of market manipulation or simulated environment exploitation.
During evaluation, yes. On funded accounts, all positions must be closed before the configured Friday cutoff. Positions left open will be auto-closed. This is a soft rule — no breach, but the position will be closed.
Hedging within a single account is allowed within your leverage and lot size limits. Hedging across multiple Pluto Capital accounts is strictly prohibited and will result in termination of all accounts.
PlutoTrader has an admin-configured quick-close rule. By default, manual closes before 5 seconds are recorded as warnings; admins can turn this off or make it a hard breach if the published rules say so.
Trading strategies that are "all or nothing" — such as risking the entire account on a single trade, extreme variation in lot sizes between trades, or patterns showing no consistent strategy — are prohibited. We're looking for disciplined, repeatable trading.
